Remember that time that we were living together in my apartment in the building on 99th st in Edmonton
and we had a morning where we didn't speak to each other at all
not out of any negative feeling,
we just were comfortable enough with each other that we didn't really need to talk. And neither
of us like talking all that much in the morning anyway.
We brushed out teeth and got ready for work, and you were driving a little green kia/honda
looking 90's thing.
we got in the car, backed out of the spot, maybe picked a tune or left the radio.
I was eating gluten free animal crackers.
we drove down the alley, and just as you broke the morning-long silence with "Gimme one of them animal
crack..." a little blonde pregnant girl, driving her boyfriends dodge, backed over the front
end of the car.
No one was hurt.
but we absolutely could have been if we had left 30 seconds later.
It wasn't funny at the time, but it is now.
